Temporary Road Closure U9082 Fox Covert Lane Ponteland

For your information the County Council intends making an Order under the above Act to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on that section of the U9082 Fox Covert Lane Ponteland from its junction with the A696 for a length of 400 metres in the county of Northumberland.

The Temporary Order is to be effective from the 23rd of October 2009 until the 22nd of December 2009.

It is expected that the road will only be closed from the 26th of October 2009 until the 06th of November 2009, however it will be closed continually during this period.

The alternative route for northbound vehicular traffic will be northeast along the C348 Darras Road turning left along the A696 West Road, then turning left again to rejoin the U9082 and Vice Versa.

The closure has been requested by Northumberland County Council in order to install new passing places and carriageway repair works.
